QuickBooks Accounting 2009
September 20th 2008
Intuit has announced the upcoming release of QuickBooks Accounting 2009 for Mac. Actually, it'll be available direct from the maker by the end of this month, which ends in nine days, and from resellers by mid-October.
"Small business owners spoke, and we listened," said Rick Jensen, senior vice president, small business division. "From a modern interface to easier ways to access and view information, QuickBooks for Mac better meets the needs of the many small business owners who use a Mac."
QuickBooks Accounting 2009 will include major customer-requested features to boost productivity that leverage modern Mac OS X user-interface design paradigms (ie features):
• A Home Page that shows how business tasks fit together with one-click access to key tasks.
• Customer, Vendor, Transaction and Report Centers that organize respective data into single-page views to make it easier to find and act on data.
• A Company Snapshot that gives a real-time macro view of a business's financial picture.
QuickBooks Accounting 2009 for Mac is scheduled to be available at the end of September for a suggested retail price of $199.95.
Editor's note: The beginning of Intuit's PR begins with QuickBooks Accounting followed by QuickBooks (sans Accounting) thereafter, which is an odd semantic for a really large corporation.
