New Apple TV ad spots aimed at PC Hunters

Apple: It's on like Donkey Kong

Apple has formulated its response to Microsoft's barrage of anti-Mac Laptop/PC Hunter ads. The company has released three new ads which started airing this week. We noticed the PC Choice Chat Tuesday night.

The ads address Microsoft's angle of bottom dollar price and arbitrary features with a value theme of ease of use, avoidance of virus, and tech support.

The first ad is entitled PC Choice Chat, is radio call-in style where PC fields questions from listeners to help them find the best PC for them. The questions, of course, are questions PC can't answer.

Customer Care shows of the life of getting PC telephone support, and the agony, versus talking with a perky Mac genius.

Elimination is our favorite of the three. A line of buttoned up men in suits represent the variety of PC options available. A "Lauren" like person asks for a big screen, where some of the "small screen" men walk off. Fast processor, those slow PCs walked off, and finally a PC that works without viruses, crashes and headaches. Everyone walks off.

The ads are a flavor of snarky elitism that will likely annoy PC users, but they're likely not buying a Mac any time soon.
