Latest volley in Tablet rumors circles February

A report out of Taiwan keeps the rumor mill churning regarding Apple's unannounced tablet ambitions.

Taiwan Economic News brings us news from claimed parts suppliers for Apple's rumored tablet device. The report indicates we could expect to see a Tablet shipping in February. That projection is apparently based on a commitment from suppliers to deliver parts in December.

The tablet is to measure 9.6-inches, feature 3G wireless, and a special long-lasting battery pack. The device is also to center around a custom processor designed from Apple's P.A. SEMI subsidiary. Finally, it's anticipated the device will retail for between $799 and $999. One may be a bit skeptical how a supplier knows all those details, but, that's what they're saying.

The report also indicates DynaPack International Technology has won the bid on the battery pack, and expects to deliver 300,000 units per month. For those trying to gauge Apple's sales expectations, there's no indication of the timeframe for deliveries, whether from December until launch, or indefinite.

These rumors match up with much that has been said in some form. Namely an early 2010 release, 3G wireless, 10-inch screen and somewhere around $800 retail.
