Aluminum Vapor Pro iPhone 4 gets announced

Wednesday Element Case is announcing the release of its new Vapor Pro case for the iPhone 4. We first saw the case at CES, and it's a followup to the company's Vapor4 case we reviewed last year. The case is made of anodized aluminum and is held together with hex screws. Element Case also says the metal surface includes a titanium alloy finish.

The Vapor Pro features a number of improvements over the Vapor4 including larger access for the 30-pin connector and headphones. The case also features an interesting cutout along the iPhone 4's death grip area. Element Case said they used a proprietary aerospace polymer in place of the metal at the lower left corner. This should help with signal interference issues we experienced with the Vapor4.

The case is a pricy solution at $149.99, but for those looking to tweak their gear it definitely has an interesting industrial design. Element Case is selling the product as a First Edition that includes an installation tool, removable carbon fiber back, and a storage case. The First Edition is also to include a electrolytic hard coated finish that should improve surface durability.

Below is a video from CES that includes the Vapor Pro and Element Case's other offerings.
