Lenovo to Surpass Apple in Europe PC Sales on Medion

Lenovo Group Ltd.’s deal to buy control of German electronics maker Medion AG will boost the company’s retail customer business in Western Europe and that the combined company will surpass Apple Inc. in personal computer sales in Europe, Milko van Duijl, senior vice president of mature markets, said in a telephone interview from Tokyo. The transaction will be earnings accretive immediately and is expected to complete by early September, he said.
