LG Announces the Optimus Vu, 5″ Android Smartphone With a Unique Aspect Ratio

This is a “phone”(!) with a five-inch 4:3 aspect ratio screen that has the same 1024 x 768 resolution as the iPad 1 and 2!

This is crazy. That’s not a phone. It’s what Barnes & Noble should have been introducing this week instead of another Nook Tablet with less storage.
Someone at Mobile World Congress next week needs to get some iPad screensnaps and display them on that and take pictures to simulate what a 5″ iPad would be like.
