Jailbreak Only: Camera Grabber For iOS 5 - Available Now In The Cydia Store

March 30, 2012
A brand new jailbreak tweak called Camera Grabber for iOS 5 allows users to access the Camera app from their Lock screen without having to double-press the Home button. Already, the Camera app is accessible from the Lock screen - users must double-press the physical Home button, which reveals both a small camera icon (to the right of the slide-to-unlock UI), and playback controls for the Music app. Touching the camera icon from this interface obviously launches the Camera app. Camera Grabber is intended to be used by folks who are camera-crazy, and are always snapping images on their handset. Once installed, a camera icon is present at all times on the Lock screen - you don't need to double-press the Home button to reveal it. Furthermore, the nature of the icon has changed: whereas before, users had to actually touch the camera icon, with Camera Grabber, you just have to slide the icon up, and the Camera app will be revealed. It's a handy tweak and something users of the Camera app might really appreciate. You can download it in the Cydia Store for free via the default repositories. Take Camera Grabber for iOS 5 for a spin now, and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments.
