Google's Motorola Reportedly To Exit Feature Phones

This article is more than 10 years old.

Google's new Motorola Mobility unit plans to phase out of the feature phone market by the end of 2012, DigiTimes reports, citing a story in the Chinese-language Commercial Times.

The story suggests Google could switch its focus "to the development of innovative products," rather than low-cost phones for the China market.

This hardly seems shocking; you'd think Google-owned Motorola would eventually switch to a line-up of 100% Android phones.
