If the 4.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S III is too large for your taste, then you might be interested in the scaled-down Samsung Galaxy S III Mini.

New details and photos of the Samsung Galaxy S III's little brother have leaked online just ahead of Samsung's event in Germany tomorrow, where it is expected to officially unveil the smartphone. According to the German tech site MobileGeeks, the phone boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800-by-480 pixels. It will reportedly be running the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Based on the leaked photos and specs, the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini looks similar to the uber-popular Samsung flagship device, but packed in a significantly smaller plastic body measuring in at 121.55 x 62.95 x 9.85 mm.

On the inside, the Galaxy S III Mini is said to be running 1-GHz dual-core STE U8420 processor and include 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Other specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA, NFC for mobile payments and Android Beam, and a 1,500 mAh battery. The phone also sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash as well as a VGA-resolution camera on the front.

MoibleGeeks' sources claim that the phone will be priced at 399 euros ($513), though the site noted that this is just preliminary data, which has not yet been confirmed. We should find out how accurate these specs are tomorrow, when Samsung officially unveils the phone.

At this point, there's no indication that the GSIII Mini will be making its way to the U.S., so for now you'll have to make do with the larger version. For more, see and the slideshow below.
