Six Alternatives To Google Maps On iOS 6

This article is more than 10 years old.

It seems that people are still suffering from Google Maps being axed from the iOS 6 update and the iPhone 5.

I liked the Google Maps app, but pinning the web page to the home screen is nowhere near as good. Can you suggest any better map apps?

Yes I can! In fact, I can suggest six good one.

Bing

It's not just Google who has maps, Microsoft has them too as part of its Bing service.

Not only do you get good maps, but Bing also offers walking and transit details, as well as driving directions.

The maps also have a comprehensive points of interest database, allowing you to find shops, restaurants, and much more are near you.

You can also ratings, read reviews, watch trailers, and get information about where and when the movie is playing.
