The Worm is making a basketball comeback.
Well, at least virtually. Dennis Rodman, a former NBA star rebounder known for his wild antics on and off the court, has signed on with Vancouver, Wash.-based Hothead Games to help promote its free-to-play Big Win Basketball game.
“Adding Dennis Rodman to our team has been a unique experience for us all and we can’t wait to show the world what happened behind our studio doors,” Big Win Sports CEO Bob Silk said in a press release.
Hothead Games was founded in 2006 and develops a full line of sports and action games.
Rodman has been active with sponsorships and business opportunities following his successful NBA career. He became a spokesman for OPENSports.com in 2008 and appeared in Celebrity Apprentice in 2009. Last month, he offered up a $59 “Dennis Rodman Viewing Party Experience” on LivingSocial, which included a screening of a pro basketball game with Rodman, two drink tickets, a halftime Q&A session, a “photo opportunity” and my personal favorite: automatic entry into a “Dress Like Dennis” contest.
Wedding dresses, anyone?
