PayPal Launches Mobile SDK To Enable Seamless App Integration On iOS

March 10, 2013
PayPal is at South by Southwest Interactive this week to showcase its enhanced tools for developers. One of these tools is the new PayPal software development kit (SDK) for mobile, which is initially available on iOS. The new mobile SDK is set to make things easier for both developers and users of apps with PayPal integration. With the SDK, developers can now make apps that offer seamless PayPal transactions. Users no longer have to leave the apps when paying with PayPal. What's more, users have the option to simply click a PayPal button to scan a credit card using PayPal's card.io technology. As mentioned, the new PayPal mobile SDK is initially available on iOS, to be followed by other platforms. In addition to the mobile SDK, PayPal is also launching its new JavaScript PayPal buttons and new REST APIs. Read the latest post on the PayPal blog to find out more. PayPal has two official apps in the App Store: PayPal and PayPal Here. Both are optimized for iPhone and iPod touch and are available for free. Last month, Google Maps and Facebook updated their respective SDKs for iOS with more features and improvements.
