She wrote the book — all 89,000 words of it — on an iPhone, using her right thumb, the only finger she had use of. It took three months, and she compares the task to climbing a mountain or finishing a triathlon.

The book is about the year she spent living a life filled with joy after being diagnosed with ALS. By the time she wrote the book, her thumb was the only digit she still had use of. Amazing story and you better believe I’ll be buying the book.
