Scottevest's new jacket has 22 slots for gear

- Twenty-two slots for gear
LOS ANGELES — Scott Jordan's jacket has room for an iPad, iPod, iPhone, various chargers, digital camera, memory cards and more.
The owner of the Scottevest company, Jordan has been making jackets and vests for geeks for years. Now he's got what he calls the "ultimate geek clothing mash-up" — the Tropiformer jacket, selling for $149.
The jacket, which went on sale Tuesday, has 22 slots for gear, magnetically-attached sleeves which can be removed and hidden slots for headphones and chargers.
All those slots, filled up, could weigh you down if fully packed. But "most people who carry these things are carrying them anyway, usually in bags," says Jordan. "This just makes it easier to carry, with the weight on your shoulders."
He doesn't recommend putting a laptop in there, unless it's the Apple MacBook Air, because then it would just be too heavy, he says.
The Tropiformer is available at scottevest.com and thinkgeek.com.
