'Forza Vista' has been trademarked by Microsoft ahead of tomorrow's (May 21) new Xbox unveiling.

The 'Forza Vista' filing, which was spotted by Siliconera, appears to be for an in-game feature rather than a new entry in the racing series.

Registered on May 15, the trademark is filed as a "feature of interactive video game software which allows players to obtain statistical information of internal and external features of a vehicle and to virtually navigate and operate those vehicles".

The description makes it sound similar to Forza Motorsport 4's Kinect-enabled 'Auto Vista' function.

A new Forza game has been heavily rumoured for the new Xbox following the launch of a competition involving developer Turn 10.

Microsoft is encouraging its Twitter followers to tweet @EA, @Xbox, @PlayXBLA and @Turn10 in order to win entrance to its briefing at E3 this year. The competition ends today (May 20).

Microsoft recently registered a host of web domains including one featuring the word 'Fusion', sparking rumours that this will be the name of the upcoming console.

However, sources close to the development of the console have suggested that it will be called 'Xbox Infinity'.

Reported features for the new Xbox include Kinect 2.0, 3D technology and the long-rumoured Xbox TV.
