Microsoft shares are barely moving this morning, but that could change following a major announcement. Let's take a look at the tech stocks to watch Tuesday.

Microsoft welcomes the next Xbox. The tech giant's stock price is up only 2 cents in pre-market trading, but chances are we see activity this afternoon when the company unveils its next Xbox video game console.

Details on the device are scant, but experts expect Microsoft to continue its battle to control the living room with a video game console that expands upon its robust entertainment options.

Their current console, the Xbox 360, boasts services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Instant Video, while several cable companies including Verizon and Xfinity allow users to stream live channels. The device has built up momentum quickly in the U.S., finishing as the top-selling video game console for 28 straight months.

Yahoo aftermath. The acquisition of microblogging site Tumblr did little to move its stock price Monday, finishing with only a $0.06 gain. This morning, shares are up nearly 1%.

Investors and experts are advising the Sunnyvale, Calif. company to take their time with Tumblr, and move carefully as they begin to integrate operations.

For those readers new to Tumblr, here's a quick guide.
