Final Fantasy Tactics For iOS Finally Gains Hi-Res Graphics, Goes On Sale For Half Price

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions was released on iPhone in August 2011 and on iPad in February 2012. At launch, the general consensus on the game seemed to be that it's a great tactical RPG weighed down by its lack of graphics optimization. Well, that glaring lack has just been resolved through the game's new and long-overdue update.
An update has just been pushed to both iPhone and iPad editions of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. The update delivers refined graphics and improved draw speeds, plus a bonus feature in the form of iCloud support.
"All of the game's unit graphics have been redrawn in high-resolution," says developer and publisher Square Enix in the game's updated App Store description. "Don't miss this chance to play the sharpest, most beautiful FINAL FANTASY TACTICS yet!"
"The graphic drawing processes have been optimized for mobile devices," Square Enix adds. "Say goodbye to choppy motion and crash bugs, and play with the quickest, smoothest abilities effects and animations to date!"
As mentioned, the game now also carries iCloud support. A save slot has been added to the game, enabling you to save and sync your game data across your iDevices.
Note, though, that there's currently an issue concerning the iPhone edition's iCloud save slot function. Rest assured that Square Enix is already working on a fix for it.
The new versions of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPhone and Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPad are available now in the App Store.
In celebration of this update, both editions of the game are currently available at 50 percent off.
Normally priced at $15.99, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPhone now goes for $7.99. Similarly, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPad, which has a regular price of $17.99, now goes for $8.99. Note that this half-off promo runs through Wednesday, June 12, only.
