I’ve already told you that CEO Steve Ballmer is currently looking into a major reorganization plan for the Redmond-based empire he manages, but a new report claims all details are nearly finalized.

While no details have been provided on this restructuring strategy, ZDNet reports that teams currently working for Windows and Windows Phone could join forces for the creation of a brand new division specifically focused on devices.

According to a previous report, Microsoft is trying to reduce the number of business divisions to only 4, in order to get closer to the devices and services approach Steve Ballmer is promoting so much lately.

It appears that Microsoft’s reorganization could take place before the beginning of the new fiscal year on July 1. More details on the rumored reshuffle are available here.
