what shutdown issue?

The one where you press the 'shut down' button and go make a cup of tea and it's still shutting down.

OK, so does the new Maps app finally allow your friggin' laptop to figure out where it is? I thought that the original iPhone used some WiFi data pinging to locate your phone as a part of "assisted" GPS. I want my damn laptop to know where it is *automatically* so that, for example, it can set it's own damn clock without my help.

I love Apple, but for pity's sake, this should be a no-brainer by now. It's called a laptop, even if it *is* too hot to sit on your lap, but it used to be called a portable, meaning you could take it with you somewhere *other* than your desk/office/house. Come on, now! Figure it out!

Fail on so many levels..
