If This Then That comes to iOS

IFTTT is an power if somewhat confusing web-based automation service. Essentially you can create a process, called a recipe, that will trigger an event. So, for example, you can have IFTTT monitor an RSS feed and send you alerts when a new item is posted. For me, I use Pocket for link saving and IFTTT automatically stuffs items for my later reader. I don't even have to monitor a Twitter or RSS feed. Or have it text you the weather forecast every morning. Or even have event-based controls for your lightening using WeMo kits.

IFTTT is pretty powerful as it can hook into basically everything. And now it's gotten even more useful with an iOS app:

Download the app and unlock three new Channels for iPhone: Contacts, Photos, and Reminders (with more to come). Create and use Recipes around the things you do on the go: snapping screenshots, adding new contacts, completing reminders, and organizing your photo albums.
