Could The Next-Gen iPad Feature A Mac-Like Translucent Apple Logo?

August 3, 2013
One new video claims to show off the next-generation 9.7-inch iPad ahead of schedule. Interestingly, however, the iDevice case pictured in the short video shows an iPad featuring a translucent, Mac-like Apple logo markedly unlike the design of the rear-facing Apple logo on the iPad 4. Published originally by Nowhereelse.fr, the video doesn't give much away, showing a partly assembled iPad case complete with a reasonably sized bezel, and space for a Home button. Once the case is turned over, though, it's clear that the rear-facing Apple logo looks rather a lot more like the illuminated logo which appears on Apple's line of MacBooks. Of course, it's impossible to verify this video, and we'll likely not know what Apple's iPad 5 looks like until the Cupertino, Calif. company announces the product later this year. Recent analysis has indicated that the fifth-generation iPad is set to launch in September, and that it could be up to 15 percent thinner, and 25 percent lighter.
