Nuclear Elements’ Nebulous Notes Lite is the free (ad-supported) version of “Nebulous Notes” — a powerful, yet simple, text editor for note-takers, writers, and coders. Your notes are backed up and available from Dropbox, which some of us consider the best all-rounf Cloud storage, back-up, and file synch. service in the world. Even Dropbox’s free 2GB capacity accounts offer enough space to store 500 copies of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace.

Nebulous notes was one of the first Dropbox iOS text editors, created three years ago. One of its major advantages is that it’s not limited to opening text files with the suffix “txt” appended to their file name as most Dropbox enabled iOS text editors are. Note well however that Nebulous Notes is only for plain text editing, and can’t edit Word Documents or PDFs.

Nebulous Notes’ developer Philip Dhingra says he finally feels good about recommending Nebulous Notes Lite as an alternative for the built-in Notes app. New notes are automatically linked to Dropbox, with auto-titles based on the first characters of your document. There have also been a ton of tweaks and bug fixes.
