This Handy Case Turns Your iPhone Into a Toolbox

If you've ever wished your iPhone could also double as a physical multitool, you should take a look at the In1Case.

If you've ever wished your iPhone could also double as a physical multitool, you should take a look at the In1Case.

This slim-ish iPhone case, which went on sale earlier in the week, takes flat tools reminiscent of Victorinox's SwissCard and incorporates them into a case compatible with the iPhone 5. The tools, which again are not the full-size implements found on Swiss Army knives or other multitools, slide into custom, dedicated slots on the back of the case.

Some of the included tools are genuinely useful too: The In1Case not only has both a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver, but also two colors of pens (black and blue) and a little pair of scissors. Other features -- like a kickstand and toothpick -- are more dubious. There's no knife included, so you'll still have to carry your trusty penknife, but at least that means you can take your iPhone through airport security.

You can purchase your very own multitool iPhone case from the In1Case website for $55. It comes in several colors, including a snazzy clear version that lets you see the tools tucked into their cubbies.
