Microsoft adds 30,000 social insight sources to Dynamics CRM
Microsoft is adding a new Social Insights capability to its cloud based Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service off the back of a strategic alliance with US based Insideview.

The deal with InsideView delivers real-time company and contact information from 30,000 sources into Microsoft Dynamics CRM to streamline pre-sales activities like customer research and qualification. Online customers will get access to the basic level of Social Insights for free in Australia in 2014.

The company also announced that at the month's end it would  release a new set of industry-focused business process templates as part of the upgrade.

In Australia, Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be available from Microsoft and CRM certified via one of three subscription packages: Professional, Basic and Essential. Online customers can already access the online  offering  and it will be available for on-premises and partner-hosted deployments on 31 October.

According to a company statement,  the solution provides an enhanced user experience that promotes end-user productivity and better integrates Microsoft’s other social technologies like Yammer, Lync and Skype

Thomas Gudman, Director of Dynamics at Microsoft Australia said: “CRM today should be an enabler that detects trends, facilitates decisions and suggests actions that lead to successful outcomes and relationships.”

Microsoft said it is also introducing new templates for a number of specific industries, such as professional services, manufacturing and financial services, along withs processes for event management and solution selling.
