Free iPhone app MyTime has launched in London and is already on Apple's 'What Hot' listing on the App Store.

The app is personalised to allow the user to re-select and filter results by the type of interests and events they enjoy.

It links to iCal, so the user can select an event and see it go straight into their phone's calendar.

Events can also be shared to a user's friends, and it is updated in real-time so users do not miss out on last minute events or one day exclusives.

Founder Andrew Platt said: "We feel that we have found a bit of a niche, in that we offer more choice than a Yplan, and we are a simpler app than Timeout.

"They are both good apps but I feel we are doing something different. I decided to do it just because there's so much going on every day you wouldn't believe."

He developed it after being inspired by running a burger blog, and said: "I saw the amazing market and that just revolved around burgers. There's so much that I was missing out on that I didn't realise, so it is kind of selfish.

"I have pulled it together because its one place to go to to look for events and hopefully people will experience a new side of London as well."

He began developing it last year and it now has a five star rating on Apple's App Store.
