iPhone 5s now available unlocked from Apple

Apple is now selling the iPhone 5s for GSM networks without a contract tie-in. This joins the iPhone 5c which has been available without contract. The phone requires customers to go to their carrier and obtain a SIM card programmed for their account. In the U.S. that means users can go to AT&T or T-Mobile, for example.

Pricing of course is without a subsidy and runs $649, $749, and $849 for the 16GB, 32 GB, and 64GB models.
