The Best Xbox, PlayStation And PC Black Friday Sales

Following
This article is more than 10 years old.

Black Friday has descended upon us, and if you're just reading this now, you're probably not up early enough to get the best deals. Just kidding, as half the best sales no longer require you to wait in line at a store these days, and you can find them online instead.

No, before you ask, you won't find discounted Xbox Ones or PS4s from Microsoft or Sony anywhere, as this is way too early in the lifecycle of either console for even Black Friday to inspire sales. You may, however, be able to find a One or a PS4 in stores where previously they were sold out, because most places will have had their stock replenished for the enormous shopping day.

But in terms of actual sales? Below you'll find a brief round-up of some of the more interesting console/PC sales happening this very moment.

Steam's Autumn Sale - This began yesterday, but day two brings the price down on a lot of fantastic games. Steam is always known for its must-have sales, and they won't be outdone on Black Friday. You'll find X-COM, Dead Island, Don't Starve, Dark Souls and more on sale for up to 75% off.

GameStop Black Friday - Lots of assorted sales here, but again, no next-gen consoles. They do have a one year PlayStation Plus Membership marked down to $30, which is a must-have for PS4. Last-gen versions of games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4 are all marked down, while their $250 Xbox 360 bundle is now $200.

GOG.com Sale - Steam isn't the only game distribution platform in town, and GOG.com has 65 different titles at 70% off today, most of them at app-level prices from $1-4.

Best Buy Black Friday - Best Buy has a solid $200 PS3 bundle which includes the must-have The Last of Us, and the not-as-must-have Arkham Origins. They have other last-gen games on sale like Madden, , FIFA, Beyond: Two Souls and more.

EA Origin Titles - Battlefield 4 is on Origin for a full 50% off, not bad for a game that just came out a few weeks ago. And PC is the best platform to play the game on, with console versions still in permanent meltdown mode. They also have other great games like Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age: Origins on sale for $5.

Blizzard's 50% Off - Blizzard has put two of its biggest games and expansions on sale. World of Warcraft itself, and Mists of Pandaria are 50% off. So are Starcraft 2 and its Heart of the Swarm expansion.

Target Black Friday - Target's got a decent deal on Nintendo's 3DS XL, marked down to $190 from $240, and it comes with a game like Mario or Zelda or Pokemon.  They also have an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle for $240.

Walmart Black Friday - They have a surprising amount of online deals from $180 Vitas and 3DSs to $99 2DSs to $140 Xbox 360s to $230 PS3s, though I'm not quite sure about that last price disparity. A few more GBs, I believe. Still, Walmart might actually have some of the best deals of all these outlets, even if their listings are the most confusing.

Alright, those are most of the major ones I can find for now. Feel free to chime in with your own finds, and I'll add any more I come across. Happy hunting!
