Apple's holiday ad makes you feel all sorts of good

Apple's new holiday commercial featuring a teenage boy who is attached to his cellphone while his family is celebrating Christmas is a big hit online.

The ad comments on the hyper-connectedness of younger generations, especially teens, who are attached to their electronic devices instead of staying present in the physical world around them.

But as it turns out, the teen was just misunderstood. He wasn't ignoring his family, texting his friends or playing games on his iPhone. The teen was documenting his loved ones to create a video gift so they could remember the holiday forever.

When the video is shown to the family in a cozy living room, tears, hugs and holiday goodness ensue. To add to the heartwarming vibe, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is the video's soundtrack. Nice touch, kid.

Oh, Apple, you sure can make us feel warm and fuzzy sometimes.
