Andrew Hoog, the CEO and co-founder of mobile security firm viaForensics puts it plainly: “Your data is being sent a lot of places that you don’t realize.”
Perhaps that’s why at this week’s RSA conference in San Francisco, there was a lot of interest among attendees in tools you can use to secure mobile devices.
That includes tools like viaForensics’s ViaProtect, a new app that detects and analyzes where the data from your mobile phone is being transmitted. The free app runs on iOS and Android.
