HP launches Envy 15 laptop in India at Rs 62,990

The company is targeting the youth with the new Envy 15 laptop, which features a number of colour options, Beats Audio integration in dual speakers and subwoofer, and dedicated graphics card.

MUMBAI: Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched its Envy 15 laptop and Pavilion 23 All-in-One computer in the Indian market. The two have been priced at Rs 62,990 and Rs 69,990 respectively, and will be available in the market from July 20.
The company is targeting the youth with the new Envy 15 laptop, which features a number of colour options, Beats Audio integration in dual speakers and internal subwoofer, and dedicated graphics card.
It sports a 15.6-inch screen with HD (1366x768p) resolution and runs on and Windows 8.1 operating system. It is powered by a 1.7GHz fourth-generation Intel Core i5 (4210u) quad-core processor and comes with 1TB storage, 8GB RAM, 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 840M graphics card.
HP Envy 15’s Control Zone trackpad features touch-sensitive strips on the sides; these buttons allow users to navigate the Windows 8.1 interface more easily. Connectivity options in the laptop include USB 3.0 port (x3), SD card reader and HDMI port. The company is providing three years of free accidental damage protection warranty with the laptop.
The company’s new Pavilion 23 All-in-One desktop has a 23-inch Full HD display and comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 operating system. It packs an AMD quad-core processor with Radeon HD 8280 graphics card, 4GB RAM and 500GB hard disk under the hood. HP is providing USB mouse and keyboard with volume control. This computer can access the internet over Wi-Fi and Ethernet and transfer data via USB 2.0 (x4), USB 2.0 (x4) and 7-in-1 memory card reader.
Apart from these two, HP unveiled its range of headphones and palm-sized USB- and Bluetooth-enabled speakers at the event. The headphones as well as speakers will be available in the market at starting price of Rs 1,900 and Rs 1,100 respectively, from August 7.
HP also announced that a range of back covers for Slate 6 and Slate 7 VoiceTabs will hit the Indian market on August 10. The back covers will come in pink, purple, blue and white colours and cost Rs 1,199.
