It seemed that Apple is planning to release the iPhone 6 on Oct. 14, according to a new report. This suggested that the new iPhone will be available for purchase a month after its announcement in September.

MacRumors cited a source that has reported that the iPhone 6 will be the center of Apple's busy fall schedule when the company plans to launch a wide array of devices including new Macs, iPads, OS as well as the rumored iWatch.

The source also added that Apple will hold the iPhone 6 launch on Sept. 16 but eager customers will have to wait for a month before they can get their hands on the device. However, this seems unlikely since Apple has a habit of releasing the device on a Friday, while the 16th is a Tuesday.

Meanwhile, previous reports claimed that Apple's new iPhone 6 is speculated to be released September 19. The Cupertino-based giant has not revealed the official release date of the device yet but based on previous iPhone's releases, Apple will most likely launch its new flagship phone on the said date.

There were talks that the 5.5 inch variant of iPhone 6 will be Apple's entry in the phablet category and will be available a few months after the release of the 4.7 inch model. The smaller version of iPhone 6 is rumored to be released in its usual launch window in September and the 5.5 inch phablet is rumored to be launched in October.

Some of the rumored features of the next iPhone 6 with 64-bit A8 processor, iOS 8, as well as improved fingerprint sensor and camera were some of the suspected features of the upcoming iPhone 6.

On the other hand, Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is expecting to sell 70 to 80 million units of iPhone 6 on its launch in the fall. The report added that the company ordered the said number of unit right for the launch of the handset. This is bigger than last year's number of smartphones ordered for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C's 50 and 60 million orders.
