Three Panda Heroes join the P-5 to rescue baby pandas from evil aliens!

WASHINGTON--()--YANUA International, presenters of the mobile game Saving Pandas, announced today they will celebrate Giant Pandas in Washington, D.C., in August by fundraising to donate to Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ). For every download of Saving Pandas from August 13 to August 22, YANUA will donate $1 to FONZ. Saving Pandas will then be available for free from August 23 to September 1. During a month of much “panda-monium” throughout the city, Saving Pandas will also participate with panda-themed events, promotions, prizing and more.

Saving Pandas, recently launched in collaboration with the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where First Lady Michelle Obama visited earlier this spring, is a fun and interactive game that challenges players of all ages to use their skills to overcome obstacles, hurdles and enemies on unfriendly planets to save baby pandas which have been abducted by space aliens. The game’s characters are inspired by five real-life Giant Pandas whose home is the Chengdu Panda Base. Facts about Giant Pandas in the game help to educate players and remind everyone about the importance of caring for the well-being and conservation of one of the world’s most loved animals.

Saving Pandas will further celebrate by partnering with the historic Hay-Adams, who supports the conservation cause as well. The exclusive Hay-Adams promotion features an array of Saving Pandas activities including gameplay available on iPad® in the hotel’s business center, Saving Pandas merchandise giveaways, panda-themed welcome amenities and a specialty cocktail in the hotel’s lounge, Off The Record.

"We are delighted that Saving Pandas is participating in the celebration of Giant Pandas in Washington, D.C., with FONZ. We are equally delighted to be collaborating with The Hay-Adams in promoting this important cause," said Dr. Richard Helfer, Chairman of YANUA International. "We want this to bring further awareness on the topic of Giant Panda conservation and the incredible work being accomplished at the Chengdu Panda Base."
