Units Convert goes 3.0 with universal support, iCloud integration and new name

August 15, 2014

Units Convert, the unit conversion app noted for its use of quick-access unit pairs, has just been updated to version 3.0 with several significant enhancements along with a new name.

Released for iPhone and iPod touch in December last year, Units Convert was updated to version 2.0 last February with additional units, new themes, and other features.

Now, the app has gone 3.0 with further improvements.

First off, the latest update to the app brings a new name. Henceforth, it’s officially called Unitica, instead of the rather generic “Units Convert.”

Another notable enhancement brought by the update is universal support, making the app natively compatible with iPad and iPad mini as well as iPhone and iPod touch.

And in line with its going universal, the app has also gained iCloud integration for syncing favorites and last used unit pairs in each category across all supported iOS devices.

The update also adds the ability to quickly filter the list of units in a category and brings subtle UI refinements to the app’s iPhone and iPod touch edition.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.1 or later, Units Convert 3.0 aka Unitica is available now on the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download.

Unitica is created by Aleksandar Vacic, the same indie developer behind the popular currency converter Banca, which was recently updated to version 5.0 with universal support for iPad and other features.
