Technology giant Apple has just updated its leadership profile page to include five new vice presidents, including an Israeli.
Fourteen names now adorn the page (up from nine) who all report directly to CEO Tim Cook. The newly appointed VPs – who helm special projects and departments – now appear below Cook and Apple's senior leadership.
Israel-born Johny Srouji was appointed vice president of Hardware Technologies at Apple, the company stated in a press release. Leading "all custom custom silicon architecture and development," since 2013, the former Haifa resident is in charge of hardware technologies that fuel "many of Apple’s industry-leading devices."
Before joining the Apple family in 2008, Srouji worked at IBM and Intel's Israel Design Center. He earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science from Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology.
