September 27, 2014

Great news, ball fans: MLB.com At Bat has received an update bringing a bunch of new features to the subscription-based iOS application.

Now, users of the app can watch every World Series game from their iOS device, along with select Postseason matches, according to developer MLB.com. This is a first for MLB.com At Bat, and it’s available for authenticated MLB.TV Premium subscribers.

Besides this, the app’s Postseason coverage is feature-packed, too. MLB.com explains that it’ll offer “live companion coverage featuring up to 10 alternate camera angles for the AL Wild Card, AL Division Series and AL Championship Series (TBS broadcasts only).”

Finally, general performance improvements mean the iOS application should run better than ever on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Over in the app’s release notes, MLB.com provides an overview of the changes made in MLB.com At Bat’s latest release:

  • For the first time we will be streaming live every World Series game and select other Postseason games to all authenticated MLB.TV Premium subscribers
  • Live Postseason coverage for every game through the 2014 World Series
  • Postseason.TV: Live companion coverage featuring up to 10 alternate camera angles for the AL Wild Card, AL Division Series and AL Championship Series (TBS broadcasts only)
  • General performance improvements

You can pick up MLB.com At Bat free of charge on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

There are a variety of subscription options available in the application, but an MLB.TV Premium subscription will set sports fans back $24.99 and can be accessed using an in-app purchase (IAP).
