Apple Wins Best Tech Support Award

Apple clearly knows how to take care of its customers, not just make new ones. And we have proof. Our sister site, Laptop Mag, has named the Cupertino, California-based company the best in tech support for 2014.

By going undercover, Laptop Mag staffers poked and prodded the support of eight major laptop brands, from Apple and Dell to HP and Lenovo. We called tech support reps and poured through online resources (including live chat) to find answers to three separate questions.

Apple’s reps proved knowledgeable, friendly and quick, even without an Apple Care protection plan. The only area where the brand faltered was the social sphere, as the company company doesn’t leverage Facebook or Twitter for help.

Tying for second place in Laptop Mag's report were HP and Samsung. HP dramatically increased its score from last year's dismal performance. This year's worst performer was ASUS, which earned a poor D+.
