We knew it was coming, and it’s finally here: Apple on Wednesday announced a media event to be held at its Cupertino headquarters Oct. 16. Of course, the company didn’t give much—or any—detail as to what journalists and guests can expect, just that “it’s been too long.” Too long for what?
What we expect:An iPad Air 2 ( perhaps in gold), a Retina iMac, the officiallaunch of OS X Yosemite, iOS 8.1, and more information about Apple Pay, which is rumored to roll out Oct. 20.
If Apple were to sneak in one more thing at this event, what would you want to see? New iPods? Another peek at Apple Watch? Tell us in the comments, and follow us Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern for all the news. We can’t wait.
