Intel Sales Poised to Top Estimates on Corporate Demand

Intel Corp. is projecting sales that are poised to top analysts’ estimates in the fourth quarter as companies snap up personal computers with the latest chips to replace aging machines.

Revenue will be $14.7 billion, plus or minus $500 million, the Santa Clara, California-based company said yesterday in a statementBloomberg Terminal. On average, analysts had predicted $14.5 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Intel, the world’s largest computer-chip maker, also said third-quarter sales rose to a record.
