Technology stocks could not escape the broad selloff striking the markets Wednesday, as investor fears over the global economy and corporate earnings grow.

Nearly all tech stocks are trading lower Wednesday afternoon. Apple shares sunk more than 2% ahead of its iPad event on Thursday, while Google plunged 2.7%. Facebook and Microsoft also dipped more than 2%.

High-definition camera maker GoPro is among the biggest losers Wednesday, with its stock trading down more than 6%. The declines follow reports that a GoPro camera may have contributed to a skiing accident involving Formula One driver Michael Schumacher.

Chip maker Intel sunk more than 4% despite reporting third quarter results Tuesday that beat Wall Street forecasts. Netflix and eBay will report earnings after the markets close.
