BioShock for iOS updated with iPhone 6 optimizations and more

November 7, 2014

BioShock for iOS has just received another notable update.

Released late last August, BioShock for iOS is a direct yet scaled-back port of the classic “genetically enhanced” first-person shooter originally published by 2K for Windows and Xbox 360 in 2007.

The iOS game received its first update early last October, thereby gaining optimizations for iOS 8, enhanced controller support, direct menu access to 2K Forums, and minor bug fixes.

Now, the latest update to BioShock is a bit more noteworthy in that it brings display optimizations for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It also brings updated controls, controller look inversion, and the ability to delete saved games.

Furthermore, the update offers support for Japanese text localization and voice-over downloading for French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

BioShock for iOS is available on the App Store for $10.99.

Due to its performance requirements, Bioshock for iOS is compatible with the following devices only: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3.
