Apple is looking for a head of social media and content to be based in the same city as its Beats Electronics division, 9to5mac.com reported on Tuesday.
The listing describes the position as involving "the management of current channels and the expansion of new channels for all lines of business across music, movies, TV, books."

The job opening points to Apple's efforts to expand its limited social media presence and possibly put the entire operation under its recently acquired Beats, which is known for its active social media strategy, 9to5mac said.
Beats Electronics is located in Culver City, California, just west of Los Angeles, more than 300 miles south of Cupertino, where Apple is headquartered.
