Intel Touted New Products Ahead Of Earnings

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) on Thursday touted its participation in the market for wearable and intelligent devices.

Intel's performance improved during 2014 and the company has taken strides to launch new products and enter the market for the so-called Internet of Things.

Chief Executive Brian M. Krzanich last week unveiled Intel's wearable device collaboration with the Oakley sunglass unit of Luxottica Group SpA, as well as a 3D collaboration with Hewlett-Packard.

Krzanich also highlighted highlighted True Key, a new application by Intel Security that uses personal factors like the face, device or fingerprint that aims to make logging in easier and safer.

During the past year, Intel has announced multiple products and initiatives with different fashion, fitness and lifestyle brands including Fossil Group, Luxottica and others.

The rise of intelligent and connected devices, along with wearables, "are redefining the relationship between consumers and technology," according to Krzanich, who made the comment during a keynote address at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
