There still no confirmation about the existence of the iPhone 7, much less its release date, but there are plenty of speculations swirling around on the specs and features of the alleged handset. 

Recent rumors claim that the iPhone 7 will sport an improved camera that will allow users to take crisper and sharper images as it will reportedly include optical zoom rather than the digital zoom feature that is packed in current smartphones. The rumor was sparked by a report from Japanese media UDN, citing sources from an Apple supply chain in Asia, saying that the optical zoom is coming to the iPhone 7. The report added that the smartphone will have a dual-lens system. 

Apart from an upgraded camera, the forthcoming iPhone 7 will reportedly feature a new "Force Touch" pressure-sensitive touch-screen. This feature will enable users to tap the screen to load an app or to tap on the screen harder to choose various features, similar to what a right click does. This feature will first land in the Apple Watch before it will be featured in the iPhone 7. 

Meanwhile, the iPhone 7, being the supposed successor of the iPhone 6, will sport a 4.7-inch screen display, but the screen could be an improved version of its predecessor. There are whispers that the handset will be of sapphire material to make the screen sturdier. 

Under the hood, the smartphone will most likely pack an A9 processor and will run iOS 9, both purported to be in the works. Korean media source ETNews stated that Samsung has started manufacturing the A9 chipset to be used in the new generation of Apple devices. Moreover, if Apple follows the pattern of release of its operating system, there is a big chance that Apple is already prepping up iOS 9 for its release at the Worldwide Developers' Conference in June. 

However, the Cupertino-based company has not spilled the details about any upcoming Apple device.
