Amplicon expands Intel Ivy Bridge systems sans fans

Amplicon hopes to make card expansion more straight-forward even in a fanless embedded tower chassis.

Amplicon-Impact-T-400

Packaged in a lightweight aluminium chassis, the Impact-T 400 is capable of housing cards up to 220mm in either PCI and/or PCIe configurations.

The first two models in the series are the Impact-T 430 and the Impact-T 423.

The Impact-T 423 has been designed for PCI and mPCIe expansion. This unit allows three primary PCI cards to run at PCI standard 2.3 and two mPCIe for modular expansion.

The Impact-T 430 offers further PCIe expansion, totaling two, with two PCI lanes.

Both the Impact-T 430 and Impact-T 423 offer PCIe x16 revision 3.0 allowing for optimal graphics card usage, whilst retaining backwards compatibility with older PCIe revisions.

The Impact-T 400 will house up to 16GB DDRIII memory enabling the systems to handle a range of memory intensive applications.

The systems offer both the Intel Ivy Bridge processor and the QM77 chipset; this brings high bandwidth SATA III, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and USB 3.0 for a powerful small form factor industrial tower PC.

A SATA III interface offers data transfer speeds of up to 6Gbit/s.

The Impact-T 400 tower is able to house two HDD or SSD 2.5-inch format, allowing for RAID 1, 0 and JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks).
