Steve Wozniak tweets his Tesla roadtrip

Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak, right, applauds after the Federal Communications Commission voted to approve net neutrality during a hearing at the FCC headquarters Feb. 26, 2015, in Washington, DC.

RENO — When he's not whooping it up for net neutrality, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak likes to unwind like many of us— road trip, hamburgers, a little blackjack.

To recap, "Woz" and his wife Janet were traveling. To Reno. In a Tesla electric car.

How cool is that?

The fact that the Wozniaks also were eating at a chain restaurant — Chili's Grill & Bar at Folsom — made me chuckle as well.

As someone known to line up for the latest Apple gadget with the masses, Wozniak is seen as an everyman among many geeks, his not-so-average personal worth and $100,000-plus electric car notwithstanding.

It's a personality that's in stark contrast with the "other Steve" who was crucial to Apple's formation and later renaissance.

I doubt that the late Steve Jobs would've ever tweeted out that he was playing blackjack, much less where he was gambling, like Wozniak did last night at Reno's Silver Legacy Resort Casino. I'm also almost 100% sure that Jobs would not tweet out his actual room number as part of a fun math equation about how easy it was to remember.

Heck, I'm a nobody and I wouldn't tweet out my hotel room number the way Wozniak did, and it's not because journalists typically aren't known as math savants.

Then again, that personality is the reason a lot of folks like the guy. For example, one Twitter user excitedly posted a picture of what he claims to be Wozniak's Tesla Model S P85D electric car at the Silver Legacy parking lot.

Better yet, an even more excited Wozniak would tweet about an hour later about he and his wife's latest blackjack triumph. After winning "5 big ones" at blackjack the previous night, the couple apparently scored another haul, before heading out in search of hamburgers. Their latest ginormous take?

Yep, the guy can still relate to regular people, alright. Now about this blackjack system...
