PC POWER: Acer's Revo brings Windows to your TV [ACER]

We've seen Amazon TV, Google Chromecast and Apple TV all adding extra content to our living rooms.

Now computer firm Acer, want to take it a step further by bringing PC power to your TV.

The company has just announced the launch of its tiny REVO One computer.

Unlike most PC towers the Revo has been designed to look smart and unobtrusive in your home.

And Acer believe that it could be the perfect solution to bring added content to your TV or as secondary computer in your home.

Daily Star Online had an exclusive look at the REVO at an event in London and it certainly looks the business.

Arriving in glossy white or black it'll sit beside your telly without looking out of place.

SMART: The Revo One comes in black or white [ACER]

The REVO One will be powered by Intel Core i5 or i3 processor and offers dual displays (HDMI and Mini DisplayPort) to users.

There's also Ultra HD (3840x2160) 4K2K video output, which provides four times the resolution of Full HD.

For your digital content there's three HDD storage slots, each one capable of containing up to 2TB.

And if that isn't enough space, the REVO One also boasts two easily expandable SATA ports for up to 6TB.

To make this mini PC seem more like an entertainment hub the company are offering a multi-use remote control.

This accessory features a full keyboard to easily type-in searches and text and a large track-pad to control media.

Having had a quick play on this remote it doesn't appear to be the easiest way to control a PC but does offer a neater solution to a full-sized keyboard.

Now we move on to the all-important price.

The REVO One starts at around £239 with prices rising depending on specifications.

This is clearly a higher price than an Amazon or Apple TV device, but Acer are confident that it offers a lot more to consumers.

From our brief time with the REVO we were certainly left intrigued by it and we hope to get our hands on one soon for a full review.
