Dear <<First Name>> -

I hope this note finds you extremely well.

I’d like to briefly share Gunpowder with you. It's an explosive (and very addictive) physics puzzler, with a fun Wild West and Robin Hood mash-up theme, created by San Francisco indie developer Rogue Rocket Games.

If you cover mobile (tablet) games, Apple products or indie developers, I would very much appreciate your coverage of this little gem that I’ve personally fallen in love with (and I can be pretty jaded). Try it out – I dare you!

The co-founders of Rogue Rocket Games have an impressive pedigree, with contributions to classic hits like Earthworm Jim, MDK and Escape from Monkey Island. More recently, and at the dashboard of their own studio, the team behind Rogue Rocket Games has dedicated itself to making their own brand of highly entertaining and creatively unique games.

Gunpowder will be available via Apple’s App Store on March 31, 2015 as a premium or “Pay Once and Play” game for $4.99.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WILD WEST THEMED PHYSICS PUZZLER GUNPOWDER BLAZES ONTO APPLE APP STORE MARCH 31, 2015

Indie Dev Rogue Rocket Games Brings Acclaimed, Family-Friendly Action Puzzler to the Apple iPad

San Francisco, California (March 25, 2015) – Independent developer Rogue Rocket Games – whose co-founders previously worked on classic hits like Earthworm Jim, MDK, and Escape From Monkey Island – today announced that Gunpowder, their charming Wild West themed physics puzzler, is set to arrive for iPad on the Apple App Store as a “Pay Once and Play” title on March 31, 2015. Gunpowder expertly blends addictive timed puzzles and explosive gameplay that will delight gamers of all ages.

When the dastardly Boss Grimshaw swindles the innocent townspeople of their gold to fund his railroad, a lone hero emerges: Incendio. Inspired by the tale of Robin Hood, Incendio sets out to make Grimshaw pay through the nose. Armed with their wits and a keg of gunpowder, players must help Incendio liberate the town's stolen gold by blasting Grimshaw's safes and piggy banks sky-high through a series of carefully choreographed chained explosions.

Gunpowder is a one-of-a-kind physics-based puzzle game featuring colorful artwork, a charming backstory and clever game design that is sure to appeal to gamers of all ages. With a simple swipe of the finger, Gunpowder is easy to pick up but offers ever-increasing challenges through thought-provoking brainteasers, immersive physics-based gameplay elements and the use of numerous environmental objects – flaming wagons, Gatling guns, chandeliers, cannons, mine carts and more!

With 125 unique levels, timed trials, numerous Easter eggs, unlockable achievements and the ability to compete against friends via Apple's Game Center, Gunpowder can be played many times over, as players seek to find the fastest and best way to solve each puzzle.

“We are incredibly excited to release Gunpowder on the iPad,” said Richard Sun, Co-founder of Rogue Rocket Games. “Nothing is more rewarding for an independent developer than releasing a game built from our love and passion for the medium and reaching players from around the world. Gunpowder was as much of a blast to make as it is to play!”

Gunpowder's adaption of the legendary Robin Hood tale makes it instantly recognizable and familiar to players of all ages,” said Nick Bruty, Co-founder of Rogue Rocket Games. “When we started to develop Gunpowder, we wanted to tell a whimsical story as well as make a really fun game. Having worked in the industry for over eighteen years, I'm confident that Gunpowder will be enjoyed by many.”

Gunpower will be available on the Apple App Store on March 31, 2015 for $4.99 in the "Pay Once and Play" category. It is compatible with the iPad Gen 2 or newer, running iOS 6.0 and above.
