The early bird gets the Apple Watch. Though pre-orders were supposed to arrive on Friday, customers are reportedly receiving notifications that their wearable has shipped a bit ahead of schedule.

Some U.S. and international orders are currently out for delivery, 9to5Mac reports, citing user tweets and reader reports.

Cupertino started accepting Apple Watch pre-orders earlier this month, and while a lucky few will get theirs this week, many will be waiting much longer. As soon as pre-orders began, ship dates quickly slipped to Junenot a new phenomenon when it comes to sought-after Apple products.

Apple has said it will not have Apple Watch in stores at launch; it is taking orders exclusively online to start, though you can make an appointment to try one on at Apple Stores now. Still, reports tips a few other purchasing options.

According to The New York Times, select destination fashion boutiques around the world will have their own stock of the Apple Watch starting Friday.

Dover Street Market in Tokyo and London, Maxfield in Los Angeles, Colette in Paris, The Corner in Berlin, and 10 Corso Como in Milan are all "official" stockists, the paper said. Most are advertising as "available in store 24.04.15" on their websites.

The pricey wearable starts at $349 for the smallest Sport version, and ranges from $549 to $1,099 for the standard Watch. For folks with some extra spending money, the Edition starts at $10,000, though you can spend up to $17,000 for an 18-karat yellow gold or rose gold casing.

Developers, meanwhile, have until 1 p.m. Eastern today to register for a chance to buy the 42mm Apple Watch Sport with blue sport band and have it arrive by April 28.
