Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) Surged To Nearly A 4-Month High On Strong Q3 Profit

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) reported third quarter EPS of $0.61 after the close Thursday, down from $0.68 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.51.

Microsoft gapped open higher Thursday and climbed steadily until around 1:15PM. The stock ended the day with a gain of 4.53 at $47.87 on above average volume. Microsoft surged to nearly a 4-month high and re-crossed its 200-day moving average.
