Dear <<First Name>> -

Sorry to bug you late on a Thursday. It's just been bonkers here this week, with a ton of moving parts and lots of newsworthy stuff. Not complaining, but I am looking forward to the first real three-day weekend of the summer on the East Coast this year. I hope you likewise have a much deserved, restful weekend with great weather, but I wanted to reach out briefly to give you a heads up.

Do you recall the flurry of press releases and emails from us in March and April about Gunpowder, the exceptionally charming and critically acclaimed puzzler for the iPad?

Well, Gunpowder
is heading to the PC and Mac via Steam. You can expect all the same great content and an exceptionally intuitive interface - one that works as well, or even better than, the finger swipes on the iPad. There will, of course, also be full Steamworks integration. As part of the Steam publishing process, however, Gunpowder must first go through Greenlight.

I'm thus reaching out to you today for two (and a half) reasons:

Firstly, we would very much like for you to share the news that the game is on Greenlight and coming to PC and Mac soon.
The game is already doing quite well in its first day, but until it's approved, anything can happen.

Secondly, if you are interested to see first-hand how well Gunpowder's iPad game mechanics translate to mouse and keyboard on a PC, we will shortly have a demo version that we would love to share with you. Please let us know at pr@uberstrategist.com and we’ll alert you as soon as it is available (within the next week or two).

Lastly, Richard Sun of Rogue Rocket Games, the developer behind Gunpowder, recently wrote an entertaining post on GamaSutra about the journey of making Gunpowder. I think it's a fun, light-hearted read with some solid tips on indie DIY initiative and creativity. I invite you to check it out.

In case you missed my previous emails and press releases about Gunpowder, or just don't remember:

In
Gunpowder, players go head-to-head against a greedy wolf by the name of Boss Grimshaw. As a fox named Incendio, players reclaim stolen gold through a series of carefully choreographed explosions ignited by gunpowder lines, with barrels and an assortment of environmental tools added to the mix.

Gunpowder released March 31, 2015 on the iPad and has received much praise since. Technology Tell called Gunpowder “the hallmark of a well made puzzle game." It received 4.5 out of 5 review scores from Touch Arcade
and 148Apps, with MacLife and Yahoo Games featuring the game on their "Best New iOS Games" picks. (Oh, and if you still haven't reviewed the iPad version, but would like something quick and fun to play while traveling or near your iPad, we still have keys left!)

Have a great rest of your week and an awesome weekend!
